Pros
- The game provides a fantastic twist on a sometimes tired genre.
- The game does a great job of remaining faithful to its name, portraying accurate versions of the Vietnamese countryside to drive in, while also forcing you to drive in Vietnamese cars.
Cons
- While the concept is interesting, it can also get very boring, very quickly.
- There are not a ton of features other than the game's most basic premise: Drive cars in Vietnam.
- The graphics aren't the best.
- At $6.49, the game is overpriced.
- Many of the captions and instructions are in Vietnamese, presenting a clear language barrier for English-only speakers.
Car Simulator Vietnam allows you to drive a wide array of cars in the gorgeous countryside of Vietnam. This app is very unique for its focus on Vietnam, as well as its adherence to the driving habits and cars of the country.
For car enthusiasts who are looking for a new experience, this game is perfect. The game allows you to drive multiple different types of cars - but only cars that are popular in Vietnam, like the Toyota Vios, which is one of the country's most popular cars. You have a few options of cars to drive, but not many.
Once you select the car, you have the option of customizing it, changing it so that it fits your needs and desires. For a relatively small game, this is a nice feature, and it gives you a degree of creativity to play around with.
From there, you drive around, staying inside of your car. Again, one of the most striking aspects of the game is its faithfulness to the simulated cars you drive, as the interior of the car is very similar to what you would actually drive in Vietnam. Commenters noted that the simulation is very accurate to what you would see if you were truly driving around in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the graphics on the game are relatively low quality.
While the game can be a mellow experience, there aren't any true objectives or goals. As such, if you're looking for a more advanced driving simulator, you should look elsewhere.
